Man Threatened With Machete During Fight, Police Say

The following information was supplied by White Lake Township police. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

White Lake Police are looking for any information about a verbal fight that occurred May 6 at the BP gas station off M-59 near Pontiac Lake Road.

According to a report, two men in a green Ford Taurus got into an altercation with a man and his female passenger after one of the men in the Taurus made a remark to the female.

The report states that one of the men in the Taurus pulled a machete out of the back of the car and started to make threatening gestures towards the man in the other car with the knife.

The man in the other car, the report states, pulled out a baseball bat. Then the second man in the Taurus also pulled out a baseball bat and the three continued to argue.

At that point, the woman passenger ran into the station and had the clerk call police.

The woman then went outside and notified the men that police were on their way, the report states.

Before police could arrive, the men in the green Taurus took off - driving westbound along M-59.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident, and who the men in the Taurus might be, to call 248-698-4400.
