Man Turns Himself In Following Accident

The following information was supplied by the White Lake Township Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

A 27-year-old White Lake resident turned himself in to following a property damage accident on July 21.

According to the report, the driver left the scene of an accident on Buckingham and drove down Pontiac Lake Road to Hitchcock where police say he parked his car and left the area on foot while police arrived at the scene.

The report states that the man later turned himself in to White Lake Police at the station, where he was arrested and released on a $100 bond. The man was issued a citation for failing to stop and I.D. at an accident.

Attempted break-in

A home on the 9000 block of David Lane had its front door damaged following an attempted break-in.

The report states an unknown person tried to kick in the front door, damaging the door, sometime between July 21 and July 22.

That person was not successful in getting the door open, and ran from the scene the report states. There were no items reported missing.

The incident remains under investigation.
