Man Walks Off Wearing Shoes Stolen from Kohl's

The following information was supplied by the White Lake Township Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

 

arrested a man at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 10 near , 7375 Highland Road, for stealing a pair of tennis shoes, according to a police report. The man walked in to the store, put on a new pair of tennis shoes and placed his shoes into the box on the rack, the report said. Employees saw him leave the store wearing the tennis shoes, according to the report, and police found him walking down the side of the road nearby. The shoes were worth $160. Police arrested him, issued a citation and released him. 

Man Pretends to Return Stolen Mixer at Bed, Bath and Beyond

White Lake Township Police responded 2:30 p.m. Sept. 8 to a report of retail fraud at Bed, Bath and Beyond, 9050 Highland Road, according to a police report. A man took a stand-up mixer worth $400 from a store shelf to the cashier counter to attempt to return it, the report said. Employees gave him a hard time because he had no receipt, according to the report, and the man said he would get the receipt and took the mixer out of the store. Employees then realized the mixer was not his and called police who were unable to locate the man, the police said.

Stereo Stolen

White Lake Township Police responded to a report of a stereo stolen from a vehicle near the 6000 block of Brentwood Drive sometime between noon Sept. 8 and 11 a.m. Sept. 9, according to a police report. The radio is worth $200, the report said. Police have no suspects.
