Money Taken From White Lake Coffee Shop

The following information was supplied by the White Lake Township Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

are investigating a possible case of embezzlement at , after approximately $845 was discovered missing from the store between Sept. 1 and Nov. 18.

Lt. Adam Kline said Biggby management reported the missing cash after they cross-referenced security footage and recorded voids with the cash machine.

According to the police report, an employee with the coffee shop had more voids than the others and is a suspect in the case, Kline said.

In addition to the voids, a few cash drops that that employee was responsible for went missing, Kline said.

The incident remains under investigation.

ATV missing

An all-terrain vehicle was reported missing from a home on the 2000 block of Haley on Nov. 23, Kline said.

The owner told police the ATV was parked next to the garage on Nov. 22 and missing the next morning.

The incident remains under investigation.

Charity box taken from business

employees reported their charity box missing on Nov. 22.

According to Kline, a 36-year-old woman came into the store to sell her gold necklace. The woman can be seen on video receiving her check then walking around the store.

Kline said after the woman walked around for a few minutes, she walked over to a box collecting money for Lighthouse, a charitable organization.

The video, Kline said, shows the woman taking the box and placing it under her jacket. She then left the store, he said.

Store employees told police that approximately $100 was in the charity box. The incident remains under investigation.
