More Larcenies from Unlocked Cars Reported in Highland

At least four break-ins were reported in a two day span in Highland Township according to deputies with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

At least three homes on Blue Heron and one home on Elkridge in Highland Township were hit by larcenies from unlocked vehicles.

According to the reports filed with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Highland Substation, one car on the 2000 block of Elkride was broken into sometime between Nov. 10 and Nov. 11.

The report states the car was left unlocked in the driveway of a home. The owner told deputies he came out to the car in the morning and found the contents of his glove box and center console scattered around the car. A case holding 15 CDs and $5 was missing from the car.

Sometime between Nov. 11 and Nov. 12 three cars in the 1000 block of Blue Heron were broken into.

According to these reports, the cars were parked in the driveway of homes and left unlocked.

Several items were reported missing from these cars, including GPS units, a satellite radio receiver and iPod Nano.

In one car, five packages containing collectable coins were taken. The owner said he had left the packages in the vehicle because he had intended to ship them out the next day, the report states.

There are no suspects in any of the incidents, but they all remain under investigation. Anyone with information can call 248-887-6240.
