Police Blotter: Home Invasion and Vehicle Break-Ins

Police follow snowy footprints until trail disappears.

A home invasion and several vehicle break-ins occurred along the 5000 block of Cedar Islands Road between 11:30 pm and 6 am on Tues. Nov. 29 and Wed. Nov. 30, according to Lt. Adam Kline of the .

Two unlocked vehicles, parked in their driveway, both had their GPS units stolen out of them as well as a $5 camper style lighter. The GPS units are valued at $100 each.

White Lake police followed footprints left in the snow to the second home on the 5000 block of Cedar Islands Road where an unknown suspect entered the home's attached garage and stole a third GPS unit, valued at $150, out of the Ford Escape parked inside. A camping light and weather barometer were also taken from the garage, according to Kline, who says the estimated value of the other two stolen items is $80.

Police followed footprints to McGrue Street until the trail disappeared, according to Kline.

There are no suspects and anyone with information is asked to call 248-698-4400.
