Minor in possession

A 17-year-old was pulled over in White Lake for an equipment violation on Thursday.

"When the officer got the window he smelled intoxicants on the teen's breath and noticed that his eyes were glassy and bloodshot," Harris said.

The teen told the officer he had just smoked some K2, a synthetic legal drug. He submitted to a PBT and blew a .03. The legal limit is .08.

The teen was issued a minor in possession and released according to Harris.

Theft from construction site

A number of items were taken from the medical facility construction site on Elizabeth Lake Road sometime between Feb. 25 and March 1. The items include scaffolding and 700 feet in aluminum wiring.

"Our detectives are following up and checking local recycling places," Harris said.

The incident remains under investigation.
