Police Blotter: Loud Party Violation, Assault and Robbery and Possession of Marijuana

Here's a summary of police calls from Friday through Tuesday.

Larceny 

A shed on the 9000 block of Camelot was broken into on Dec. 1 between noon and 2:15 pm. A power washer with a value of $200 was reported stolen.

responded to a noise complaint at the home on the 300 block of Laurant in the  on Dec. 2 at 2:55 am, according to Chief Edward Harris. When officers arrived, there was loud music, yelling and singing coming from inside with home with more people outside the residence as well.

After knocking on the door and gaining permission to enter the house, police saw open alcohol in the kitchen. Three people were ticketed for Minor in Possession after submitting and testing positive to Breathalyzer tests.

The owner was arrested and held at the White Lake station until released and was ticketed for hosting an open house party with underage drinking.

Destruction of Property

White Lake police responded to a complaint of malicious destruction of property on the morning of Dec. 2. A sign in front of the North Broadmoor subdivision on Akehurst and Union Lake was spray painted with graffiti. There are no known suspects at this time.

Assault and Robbery

On Dec. 3 at approximately 3:30 am, a victim from White Lake, while walking to work down Le Grand in Cedarbrook Estates, was pushed from behind, according to Chief Harris. When the man turned around, he was pushed again by an unknown white male who then brandished what appeared to be a knife at the victim. The suspect demanded money, which the victim gave to him from his wallet, and then the suspect fled on foot.

There are no suspects and anyone with information is asked to call 248-698-4400.

Larceny from a Vehicle 

An unlocked 2001 Toyota was broken into on the 6000 block of Rosewood Parkway on Dec. 3 around 4:30 am. An antique watch was taken from the car’s glove box, according to Chief Harris. White Lake police may have video of the incident which was taken from camera's at the victim’s home.

The incident is under investigation.

Possession of Marijuana 

On Dec. 6 at 12:40 am, a White Lake police officer made a routine traffic stop on Cedar Island near Bogie Lake Rd.

The officer observed the driver and two occupants in car and then asked the driver to exit the car. After walking around the rear of the car, the officer observed a clear plastic Tupperware container, with a clear plastic bag inside, sitting on the rear passenger seat, according to Chief Harris.

When the officer questioned the driver about the plastic container, the driver admitted it was marijuana. The officer then searched the car with permission.

The driver claimed ownership of the marijuana and was arrested and taken to the White Lake police station were he was issued a violation for possession of marijuana.
