Police Blotter: Storm Damage, Destruction of Property and More

The following arrest information was supplied by the White Lake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A water pump station on the 6000 block of Grass Lake was damaged at 1 a.m. Thursday when severe storms passed through the area.

Lt. Adam Kline said lightning struck the building and damaged the roof and shingles.

The township estimates the damage at approximately $2,000.

Gold paint damages car

Police were called to a home on the 10000 block of Highland Road on Thursday after the owner of a car discovered gold paint had been dumped on his 1997 Corvette.

Kline said the incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday.

There are no suspects at this time; the incident remains under investigation.

Tools taken

An attached garage on the 1700 block of Porter Road was broken into sometime between June 2 and June 4, Kline said.

He said a person entered the garage through an unlocked door and cut the lock off a tool cabinet in the garage.

A chain saw and a chop saw were taken, Kline said.

The incident was not reported to police until Thursday, he said.

There are no suspects at this time, and the incident remains under investigation.
