Police Chase Results in 3 Arrests

Three people were arrested in White Lake following a short police chase on M-59 and through .

According to White Lake Police Lt. Adam Kline, the driver, 26-year-old Richard Wayne Winslow was arraigned on charges of second degree fleeing and eluding and driving while suspended. His bond was set at $25,000. The 29-year-old passenger was arrested for outstanding warrant, and on charges of heroin possession. Holly Marie Agnew, 29, who police were looking for originally, was also arrested following the chase on outstanding felony warrants. Agnew was turned over to Oakland County Sheriff's and arraigned for the outstanding warrants. Her bond was set at $10,790.

The report states the chase began Tuesday at 10:59 a.m. when White Lake Police spotted a silver Kia driving down M-59, the vehicle fit the description of the vehicle believed to belong to Agnew, and, according to the report, there was a female in the car.

Kline said the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle did not stop and continued across M-59 and into the gas station. Once the vehicle reached the gas station it accelerated around the building and through the Meijer parking lot.

The office activated his sirens and followed the vehicle, Kline said. The vehicle exited back on to M-59, lost control in the median, but regained control and turned into Cedarbrook Estates. Once in Cedarbrook, the car continued at 50-60 mph through the streets before the driver stopped the car and ran.

Kline said the officer took off after the passenger, who was also attempting to flee the vehicle, and apprehended the 29-year-old.

She was, according to the report, arrested for outstanding warrants and charges of possession of heroin.

Kline said following the chase, the department received a call from a resident who said he saw the driver enter a home on the 300 block of Sycamore in Cedarbrook Estates. Additional officers arrived on the scene and surrounded the home.

An undercover officer made contact with Winslow, who had barricaded himself inside, and was talking to him on a cell phone, the report states. Winslow, according to the report, told police he had a child, pit-bulls and a shotgun inside.

The child was released from the home to police, and shortly after Winslow and a woman, Agnew, came out of the home.

Both were subsequently arrested and taken to Oakland County Jail where they were lodged until their arraignment.

Kline said Winslow later told police that he did not have a shotgun, that he was bluffing. A search of the home following his arrest confirmed his story.
