Child found wandering

A toddler was picked up by two White Lake residents after he was found wandering along Gladys in White Lake.

The incident happened on Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. The report states a couple outside their home noticed the toddler heading towards the busy Round Lake Road. The couple picked up the toddler and walked up and down the street looking for a parent.

According to the report, the couple called police when they didn't find a parent. Police arrived on the scene to take the child into custody just as police dispatch received a call from a mother down the street to report a missing child. The officer took the child to the woman's home, and the two were reunited.

The mother told police she had been in the basement of the home doing some household chores, the report states. She said she suspects the child left the home using an unlocked back door.

I wonder how much Walmart has lost since they let go the store greeters? A smart move to save money, and a tax right off, and now higher prices to cover the lose and police time writting reports.
