2 Lakeland Students Taken to Hospital After Eating Drug-Laced Food, Police Say

The following information was supplied by White Lake Township police. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

Two Lakeland High School students were taken to the hospital Friday around noon after White Lake Police say the students ingested drugs.

School Resource Officer Jon Kirken with White Lake Police said three students are suspected to have eaten a food product with either marijuana or THC in it while at school Friday.

Of the three students, two had to be taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening symptoms after ingesting the food and suspected drugs.

Kirken said there are few details that can be released at this time, including the ages of the students.

The incident remains under investigation.
