The following information was supplied by the White Lake Township Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

The incident was reported on Oct. 20, and following an investigation the driver responsible was brought in for questioning on Nov. 1.

According to Lt. Don Nankervis, the two teens met up in a parking lot in the township. The report stated that the Commerce teen approached the vehicle of the White Lake teen and gave him some items, the White Lake teen then began to take off without paying for the items. The Commerce teen grabbed onto the side mirror and was dragged approximately 100 yards before the car struck a stop sign, the report stated.
