Roof of Salvation Army Catches Fire

The building suffered only minor damage during Tuesday's fire.

The following is a release from the White Lake Fire Department.

On Tuesday November 15th at approximately 4:45 P.M., White Lake Township Fire Department responded to a reported fire at the Salvation Army building on Highland Road (M-59).

The first arriving fire officer suspected the problem to be on the roof of the building. Not having a ladder truck, Waterford Fire Department was called for mutual aid from their ladder truck company to enable firefighters to gain access to the roof.
