School District Warns Parents About Transient Man in White Lake

District says White Lake Police are aware of the situation.

In an email home to parents, the Huron Valley School district issued a warning about a transient man wondering near Ridge Road and England Beach in White Lake.

According to the email, the man reportedly talked to a student while the student was waiting for the bus.

"He asked a White Lake Middle School student for the time as the student waited for his bus," the email states. "We are not aware of any other contact being made with any other students."

The district said the White Lake Police Department has been alerted, and that an officer will be present in the area during during pick up and drop off times for the buses.

"If you reside in this area, please take extra precautions with your student(s) and report any suspicious activity to the White Lake Police Department at 248-698-4400," the district said.
