Teen Caught Stealing Sandals, Purse From Kohls

The following information was supplied by the White Lake Township Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

A 17-year-old Highland female was arrested on Wednesday at , after loss prevention officers say they saw her taken item from the store without paying.

According to White Lake Police Lt. Adam Kline, she entered the store and grabbed a $60 Champs brand purse. She then reportedly walked over to the shoe department and placed a $16 pair of Vera Wang sandals in the purse.

Kline said loss prevention officers then witnessed the teenager walking out of the store with the purse and sandals, without paying.

She was detained and held until White Lake police arrived.

When police arrived the teen was cited for third degree retail fraud, processed by the police department then released.

Items taken from room in home

Several items were reported missing from a home on the 7000 block of Kingston on Sept. 3, according to Kline.

Kline said the items were listed as taken sometime between Aug. 22 and Sept. 3.

According to the report, one of the homeowners had people over and said it is possible one of them entered the room of the other homeowner and took the items.

The missing items include a Playstation 3 game console valued at $350, a Cannon camera valued at $500 and a TAG Heuer watch valued at approximately $3,000.

The incident remains under investigation.
