Two White Lake Residents Caught in The Act Stealing Items from Kohl's

Two White Lake residents were arrested and issued citations for third degree retail fraud after loss prevention officers at caught them taking items from the store without attempting to pay, according to .

In the first incident, a 17-year-old was caught on security tapes concealing more than $125 worth of clothes in her purse and under her shirt.

Lt. Adam Kline said the incident happened Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m.

The police report states the teen selected socks, two bras, two pair of pants and two shirts, then wen to the fitting room.

While in the fitting room, loss prevention officers say the teen concealed the socks, one bra, one shirt and the pants in her purse. She then put the other shirt and bra on under her clothes.

The teen was arrested by police on the scene, taken to the station, processed and released with a citation.

In the second incident a 32-year-old attempted to leave the story with $142 worth of shirts concealed in her purse, the report states.

Kline said the women selected the items, went to the dressing room to conceal the items and then went back to the men's section.

According to the report, she selected a sweatshirt and them attempted to exit the store without paying for any of the items. She was detained by loss prevention until police arrived on the scene.

Kline said the woman was arrested, taken to the station, processed and then released with a citation.
