White Lake Man Charged Under "Super Drunk" Law

The following information was supplied by White Lake Township police. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.

A 50-year-old White Lake resident was arrested Aug. 1 at 10:19 a.m. near Ford Road and Teeple Lake after several people called in to the police station reporting a drunk driver.

According to the report, the man was driving an old pickup truck and pulling a large trailer.

He was pulled over and given a field sobriety test which he failed, the report states. The man was then given a preliminary breath test and registered a .3 blood alcohol level. The legal limit is .08.

The man was arrested and taken to Oakland County Jail where he was lodged and eventually charged with operating while under the influence of alcohol with a high BAC.
