Man wrecks home, get arrested

A 24-year-old Detroit resident was arrested Wednesday after allegedly wrecking a home and fleeing from police.

Harris said police were called to a home on the 4800 block of Lake  Grove after the man and another person in the home began to quarrel.

According to the report, the 24-year-old was angry that no one would drive him back to Detroit, so he allegedly broke out a few windows in the home and damaged some of the home's doors.

"He fled the scene before we arrived but returned a few hours later," Harris said.

When the man returned, he was arrested by police and was turned over to Macomb County on an outstanding warrant.

Harris said White Lake will seek a warrant for the man when all the damage estimates are available. "We think there is in excess of $1,000 in damage," Harris said.
