Historical Society to Dedicate Marker in Highland
The Highland Township Historical Society will dedicate a Michigan Historical Marker Nov. 11.
An historical marker will be placed at West Highland Cemetery.
Those planning to attend should park in the lot of West Baptist Church, 1116 S. Hickory Ridge Road, no later than 2:45 p.m. Oakland County Sheriff deputies will then escort us across the road to the cemetery promptly at 3:00 p.m. Following the dedication an informal reception will be held at the West Highland Baptist Church, with refreshments and the opportunity to share memories of the cemetery and those buried there.
