Kerry Bentivolio (R) will be hosting an online "town hall" forum today on reddit.com at noon.
According to a press release from Bentivolio, he will be answering as many questions as possible on the popular website.
"Depending on the volume of questions, I might not be able to answer every single one... but I'll do my best," he said in the release. "All of the questions and answers will be on the record and available for all the world to see. I've made transparency a campaign pledge, and I believe it is important for people to make informed decisions about the candidates who hope to represent them in Washington."
Bentivolio said he's happy to take any question from anyone, and that he picked Reddit as the place to host the forum because it's completely unfiltered and people can read his answers directly.
To ask a question, you will need a Reddit account. To create an account, click the link in the top right corner of the Reddit homepage.

I do not understand how you can hold a web chat at noon on a working day when most of your voters are at work or otherwise indisposed. The idea that you can hide behind a chat room where anyone can type in your response to filtered questions is ridicules If this is how you intend to behave before you have been elected god only knows what kind of congressmen you will be. Kerry, if you can not fulfill the role of political candidate for congressman how do you hope to fill the much harder role of congressman.?
A person who wants to be a member of Congress shouldn't FEAR his own constituents. A candidate for federal office shouldn't malign nonpartisan groups like the League of Women Voters, when they're only trying to do what they've done for a century -- bring together candidates for high office so voters can hear them and ask questions. I want my Congressman to be open and transparent -- one who pledges to work with colleagues of BOTH parties, not hide behind Tea Party ultimatums while taking orders from the bored Texas college student bankrolling your campaign through his "Liberty For All" Super PAC. In other words, I want my Congressman to be Dr. Syed Taj in 2013; and David Curson to complete the 2012 term.
