League of Women Voters Candidate Forum Tonight

Three Milford, White Lake and Highland candidates will answers questions from the audience at the League of Women Voters candidate forum at Milford High School.

The League of Women Voters (LWV) Oakland Area will conduct and moderate a candidates forum 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at Milford High School in the Learning Resource Center. 

Those expected to be present are Jerry Aubry of Milford, Lisa Blackwell of White Lake and Eric Wallis of Highland. Beth Lewis of Highland is unable to attend and will have a statement read by the moderator.

The LWV is a non-partisan national organization. The league's purpose is to promote political responsibility through active participation in government.

Candidates are being asked to prepare opening and closing statements of no longer than one minute each. The candidates will be asked questions submitted by the audience. The candidates will not be told questions in advance and a LWV moderator will screen and ask the questions.

All candidates will have the chance to answer each question, however strict time limits will be enforced.
