Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan Visit to Shut Down Local Road
If you plan to be traveling anywhere near Long's Orchard in Commerce Friday, expect delays.
Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his vice presidential candidate are scheduled to appear at a rally in Commerce Township on Friday, according to an online event posting by their campaign.
The two will be at Long Family Farm, Orchard and Cider Mill located at 1540 East Commerce Road.
As a result, East Commerce Road will be closed west of Bogie Lake Road from noon until 2 p.m. – traffic will be rerouted.

There will also be high security in the area, so taking an alternate route is advised.
The doors at Long's will open at 9:30 a.m. and the event begins at 11:30 a.m.

All attendees must go through security, and no bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids, or signs will be allowed in the venue. Cameras are permitted.
