More File For Upcoming White Lake Election

Several residents have turned in petitions for seats on the township board to get on the August primary ballot.

Current White Lake Supervisor Greg Baroni has filed to run for White Lake Township Supervisor, and will face competition from at least one resident, Matt Sprader.

Both Sprader and Baroni have filed as Republicans and will face each other in the August Primary.

In addition, Clerk Terry Lilley has filed to retain his position as Township Clerk. Other incumbents, including Treasurer Jay Brendel, and trustees Carol Burkard, Todd Birkle and David Lewsley have all filed to keep their respective positions.

Joining the trustee race is White Lake resident Andrea Voorheis, who filed as a Republican.

Township Elections Specials Ashley Amburgy said at least seven other people have picked up the paperwork to file for the various seat up for election this year, but that paperwork has yet to be turned in.

The filing deadline for anyone interested in running for a seat on the board as a trustee, or as supervisor, treasurer or clerk is May 15. The primary election is Aug. 7, and the general election is Nov. 6.
