The $1.9 million project is part of the Oakland County agency's 2014 budget proposal.

A plan to pave a portion of Clyde Road in Highland Township is part of the Road Commission for Oakland County's proposed budget for fiscal year 2014.

The budget, which was presented Aug. 22 during a public hearing at the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Auditorium in Pontiac, calls for spending $1.9 million to pave Clyde from east of Hickory Ridge to Strathcona.

"The proposed 2014 budget, at $108 million represents an increase of $5 million compared to the $103.1 million 2013 budget adopted in September of last year," according to a press release. "The proposed budget includes work on road improvement projects with a total value of more than $40 million (many of the projects include expenses spread over several budget years)."
