Township Board to Meet Tuesday

Several items are on the agenda, including a resolution to extend the township's moratorium on medical marijuana facilities.

The White Lake Township Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the to discuss several items, including medical marijuana, a goose roundup, Quake on the Lake hydroplane races and park updates.

The township has had a moratorium on medical marijuana facilities since December 2010. The board is expected to extend the moratorium for an additional 180 days.

"The hope was that during this period of time (during the original moratorium), changes to the law or decisions by the court would help to clarify this issue for local units of government," said Sean O'Neil, township planning director.
