Township Looking for Feedback on Bloomer Park

The public is invited to an on-site visioning session Thursday.

White Lake Township will hold an on-site visioning session at Bloomer Park on Thursday to gather public input on the future of the park.

The event will start at 7 p.m. at the park, located on McKeachie Road between Jackson Boulevard and Grass Lake Road.

"People need to attend this meeting to provide their input into Bloomer Park's overall design," said Jason Iacoangeli, White Lake community planner. "This is an opportunity for us to meet with the folks directly responsible for the park's design and provide them with ideas and insights that will be incorporated into the park plan. This project will have a real impact on the quality of life for folks living in the surrounding neighborhoods near the park and White Lake Township as a whole."

Iacoangeli said the township hopes residents will come to the event and provide meaningful dialogue and ideas on the project.

The workshop will include discussion on park amenities, pathways and other aspects of the park's overall redevelopment.

"The public’s comments will be incorporated into a preliminary design that can be reviewed by the Parks and Recreation Committee and Township Board," Iacoangeli said.

The event will be held weather permitting. If there is any doubt as to the meeting being held, residents are asked to call Iacoangeli at 248-698-3300, ext. 177, by 5 p.m. Thursday.

Residents are asked to dress and prepare appropriately, as the park is a natural wooded setting.
