White Lake Reports Low Voter Turnout

Turnout for today's election has been low according to township officials. Have you cast your vote in the Huron Valley School Board race?

Turnout so far for today's contested Huron Valley Schools Board of Education election has been, "very low" according to Ashley Amburgy, election specialist with the White Lake Township Clerk's office.

"We had one precinct that didn't get their first voter until 9:30 this morning," she said.

While polls have been open since 7 a.m., only registered voters in precincts 2 through 11 can vote in today's election that has nine candidates vying for two open seats on the school board.

Polls are open until 8 p.m., and Amburgy said she expects nearly all the results will be in by 9 p.m.
