White Lake Township Board to Meet Tuesday

Several items are on the agenda, including discussion about White Lake Police patrol vehicle purchases and an update on the Bloomer Park project.

The White Lake Township Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the to discuss several items including the possible purchase of new patrol vehicles for the .

Police Chief Ed Harris said the department tries to buy a few cars a year to replace their current, aging fleet of patrol vehicles, "It's something I include in the budget every year, and it's budgeted for this year as well."

Harris said the department is looking to buy three cars this year, and will likely go with the new Ford Interceptor - a car based on the Taurus platform.

Over the last week, officers with the department, including the Chief, have been test driving the Interceptor to see if it's a good fit for the department.

"This year's purchase will be a little different, the companies have discontinued their previous models (like the Crown Victoria) so we've had to look at the new models being released," Harris said.

  • Parks rules and regulations
  • Water system evaluation
