White Lake Township Board to Meet Tuesday

The White Lake Township Board of Trustees will Tuesday at 7 p.m. at .

Several items for action are on the agenda, including the proposed rezoning of the property the township offices sits on.

This will be the second reading of the proposed rezoning, which means the Township Board can take action on the item if it chooses to.

Currently, the area encompassing the township offices, library, park, a single-family home and is zoned for local business and single family. The proposed rezoning would make the area all general business. This zoning would align with the township's master plan, Planning Director Sean O'Neil said.

The single-family home on the property is vacant, according to the township, and will also be rezoned general business.

Other items on the agenda include:

  • A Clearzoning presentation by Birchler Arroyo Associates. Clearzoning is program that places township zoning ordinances online in an easy-to-use format.
  • Discussion of transportation pathways throughout the township.
  • A water department vehicle purchase request.
  • Request for proposal to provide audit services for White Lake Township.
  • The first reading of a new cemetery ordinance.
