White Lake Township Board to Meet Tuesday

Several items are on the agenda, including a public hearing on 2013 Community Block Grant Development monies and discussion on the clean up of White Lake Cemetery.

The White Lake Township Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Township Hall to discuss several items including the distribution of community development block grant funds, and cemetery clean up at White Lake Cemetery.

Community development block grants are part of a federal program run by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The program, according to HUD, provides communities with resources to address a wide range of unique community development needs.

In 2011, the 2012 funds were allocated to the township's minor home repair program. The program is designed to help low- to moderate-income households in White Lake Township complete more complicated home maintenance. In order to qualify for the program, you must be a resident of this township and meet income specifications.
