District Taking Action to Relieve Traffic at Bogie Lake Campus

Lakeland High School administration, Huron Valley School District hope to lessen traffic at school's entrance.

If you pick up your child from school at one of the three Huron Valley schools on the Bogie Lake campus, you can expect less of a headache.

According to officials at Lakeland High School, the school will be closing the parking gate in front of the building at the end of the school day - a move that, they say, will lessen traffic congestion at the main entrance.

The gate will be closed starting Sept. 17 and will continue through the end of the school year.

Students leaving the school will be required to exit through the southeast entrance light on Bogie Lake Road.

"The only traffic that will use the main Bogie Lake entrance will be the buses and parents who pick up students," the Lakeland administration said in an email to parents.
