Huron Valley Recreation and Community Education realizes how tough a time it is for families in the current economy. That is why we are offering the 3rd Annual Family Fun Fest, sponsored by Genisys Credit Union, on April 29, 2011 at the Apollo Child Care Center from 6 pm-8pm. This FREE event for families highlights the “Month of the Young Child.” During the program there will be many exciting activities for children. The activities will take on a carnival theme and it will highlight all the rooms of the Apollo Center. Local community agencies along with some local businesses will be on hand. Peter’s True Value Hardware is providing a Bug Bounce House. Hungry Howies will be providing pizza as part of a pizza meal for $3. Carvel Ice Cream will also be on sale for $2. The items of cost are optional.
The Apollo Family Fun Fest is aimed for families with children in the age range of 1-12 years old. The event will be used to inform the community about the needs of young children, their families, and the opportunities that are offered in our community. Last year over 400 people attended the event!
