Huron Valley Schools Appoints New White Lake Middle School Principal

The following was submitted by the Huron Valley School District.

Kristin McMurren has been appointed the new principal beginning in the 2011-12 school year.

Currently McMurren is the assistant principal of , a position she’s held since 2003. McMurren began her teaching career in Huron Valley Schools at Lakeland High in 2002 where she taught English. She earned her B.A. from the University of New Orleans, her M.A. from Saginaw Valley State University and her Educational Specialist Degree from Oakland University.

McMurren knows many of the families at White Lake, which will be an asset during this change. She will continue to work closely and develop positive relationships with parents and staff. McMurren’s high school experience at Lakeland, coupled with her tenure as an administrator, will ensure a smooth start to the new school year for students and staff.

The District will immediately begin the process of finding a qualified replacement for McMurren at Lakeland High School.
