Interim Superintendent Wishes Students a Happy Summer

As the school year ends, Jim Baker, interim superintendent, reflects on the Huron Valley School District's accomplishments.

The following is a press release from the Huron Valley School District.

Dear HVS Families,

As the 2011-12 school year draws to a close, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for another successful year. We have a great deal to be proud of in Huron Valley.

Over the past month, I have had the distinct pleasure of attending numerous honors ceremonies, field days, commencement ceremonies, sporting events and concerts. To say our students are talented is an understatement. I am repeatedly proud of how our students conduct themselves, both at home and at events that require travel to other communities. While I am consistently aware of the academic and athletic prowess of our students, I am always most impressed by the level of character they display. This character is a direct result of their upbringing and the standards they are held to by their parents. For that, I want to thank you.

The 2012-2013 school year will begin before we know it. But before it does, be sure to take this summer to enjoy the times with friends and family. We look forward to seeing your students again in September.
