This week's honorees are credited with saving the life of a Highland woman.
Who: Michael Millsap, Kayla Hughes and Derrick Newman

Key to awesomeness: On Nov. 15, Millsap, Hughes and Newman found an 81-year-old woman lying face-down in a ditch along Milford Road near Milford High School in Highland. Police said the woman had been missing for several hours after having wandered away from her home. The teens carried her out of the ditch, to the area near the road, comforted her with a blanket and stayed with her until police arrived.
Milford High School Principal Kevin McKenna said, “It's so impressive to have students who will go out of their way to help others. It's an example of the strength of our community and the hard work our parents and staff do every day."
