Key to Awesomeness: Zuk has led the Lakeland cross-country team all season and had his best run on Saturday when he clinched the state championship placing first. Zuk told the Detroit Free Press after his big win, "I just tried to get past a runner at a time and give it everything I had. I was sitting in third at the two-mile mark. I kept pushing. They weren’t too far ahead. Between the mud and the wind that made it tough, but it was the last race of the year. It was one step at a time. This year has been great and obviously this caps everything. It’s a year I’ll ever forget."
