Public Servants Gather in Rain to Show Support

Huron Valley Education Association holds rally to show support for educators and staff, as well as other public service workers.

Despite the rain, about 100 people gathered under the picnic shelter at Central Park in Milford on Thursday.

Mike MacGregor, president of the Huron Valley Education Association moderated the event, which featured a variety of speakers, music, and food. Speakers included Huron Valley Schools superintendent Jackie Johnson, teachers Pat Fox and Isaac Perry, Milford Township Treasurer Cindy Dagenhardt, and Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner.

Superintendent Johnson read a resolution from the US Cabinet Secretaries commemorating Public Service Recognition Week, and thanked all the teachers and staff of Huron Valley Schools.
