Saturday at Highland HeyDays

Highland HeyDays is an exciting family event featuring Horsin’ Around in Highland and Pet-A-PALooza Saturday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 11.

The event brings back a street fair similar to those of yesteryear, a square dance, vendors, demonstrations and much more!

These two days of activities are intended to bring families, friends, neighbors and pets together to celebrate our great community.

On Sunday, Sept. 11, the event starts on a somber note with a 9/11 tribute and the street fair, which closes at 4 p.m. also begins. Highland HeyDays continues with the Pet-A-PALooza street fair for families and pets in our community, which includes booths for local pet rescue groups, animal magic shows, pet photos, contests, demonstrations, “Rock-N-Roll K-9s” (pet agility choreographed to music) and so many more exciting attractions.

Children will enjoy the bounce house, face painting, the petting zoo and the all of demonstrations, displays and activities. A portion of the proceeds from this fun-filled street fair will benefit Community Sharing, a local non-profit organization assisting families in our area that also hosts a raffle at the festival.

Since part of Livingston Road is closed off, it's suggested those attending park at Highland Elementary School.

Major sponsors include Szott Automotive Group, Veterinary Care Specialists & Highland Feed & Supply. Highland Equestrian Conservancy will sponsor the Equine Acrobatics Demonstration and the Square Dance Caller for this exciting festival.
