Huron Valley Unplugged: Nature Hike

Huron Valley Unplugged Club, which is designed to help children and their parents reconnect with nature once a month, features a free nature hike from 9:30-11 a.m. this Saturday, Nov. 12 at Building Blocks Preschool.

All of the organization's programs are either free or have a minimal charge. Part of Heavner's Nature Connection No Child Left Inside movement, it was inspired from Richard Louv's critically acclaimed book "Last Child in the Woods."

The idea is to have them "unplug" for one Saturday morning a month and do things together like ride bikes or horses, take nature or winter hikes, walk dogs, sled, take part in a scavenger hunt, canoe or participate in an Earth Day Cleanup.

Great morning for families to turn off the TV and spend a Saturday morning reconnecting with nature.
