Kids' activities precede the race beginning at 11 a.m. The race itself starts at 2 p.m.

All proceeds go to local charities and service projects including college scholarships for Huron Valley Schools graduates, YMCA, Community Sharing, and dictionaries for all graduating fifth graders in Huron Valley Schools.

Numbered raffle tickets are sold that correspond to a rubber duck that will bear the same number. The ducks are then dumped from a front end loader into Pettibone Creek.

The ducks will race down the creek under the bridge and funnel to a spot where only one duck can squeeze through. The first duck through the funnel wins.
