'Quake' Features Speed, Music, Family Fun

Quake On The Lake takes place Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17 at Pontiac Lake Recreation Area, located in White Lake and Waterford townships.

The 12th annual event hosts the Inboard Hydroplane Championships, featuring more than 100 teams across North America in this national championship, which returns to Michigan after 42 years.

Quake On The Lake is a fundraiser to benefit The Rainbow Connection, a 501(c)3 charity which grants special wishes to Michigan’s terminally ill children come true and supports other community grass root initiatives.

In addition to great music, the Family Fun Zone returns this year for kids of all ages. It includes bouncers and slides, a rock climbing wall and face painting. There will also be exhibits and great food.

Quake on the Lake general admission at the gate is $10 per adult; $5 for children ages 5-12; and children 4 and under are free. Gate admission includes viewing the national championship racing and the entertainment.
