Detroit Bike Week’s crowning event on Sunday, July 31 is the Ride of Honor.

This event takes place Sunday in the early afternoon heading out from the Multi-Lakes Conservation Association site in Commerce with an optional short ride through the surrounding lakes area.

Upon returning to the event, the ceremonial Ride of Honor will take place to The Wall, the American Veterans Traveling Tribute/Cost of Freedom Exhibit, which includes a replica of the Vietnam Wall in Washington, D.C.

Riders will travel in front of the tribute displays from left to right allowing them to be able to salute with their right hand. The riders will be saluted by non-riding veterans and/or active duty military. There will be two points of salute.

After all the riders have passed, one by one, the Ride of Honor will be concluded. The Ride of Honor is included in the admission fee for the event.
