Huron Valley Schools Athletics to Host Comedy Show Fundraiser

If you're looking for a night of laughs and love Lakeland High School get your tickets now for Huron Valley Athletics' first comedy show and live auction.

The following is a release from the Huron Valley School District.

Huron Valley Athletics will host its first comedy show and live auction on Friday, June 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 59 West in Highland. This adults only event includes appetizers, prime rib/chicken dinner, beverages with cash bar, silent and live auction, door prizes, and raffle drawings. Proceeds will benefit Huron Valley Athletics by maintaining the current pay to participate fees, transportation costs, assuring that HVS athletes are supported by an athletic trainer, preserving middle school and sub-varsity programming.

The comedy event will include Zach Martina, Lakeland alumnus for the opener, Tom McCarthy as the featured act and Vince Averill, Milford alumnus as the headliner. Performing during the dinner hour will be local band Fifth and Main. Also singing will be Kari Holmes. Her genre of music is pop/country but her voice crosses over into rock and blues. Lakeland Athletic Director, Greg Michaels and Milford Athletic Director, Chris Ceresa will assist in the live auction festivities.

Tickets for the event can be purchased through the Athletic Department. Tickets are $55 and are on sale now. Please contact Angie Jantz, Lakeland athletic secretary at 248-676-8302 and Sandy Alaska, Milford athletic secretary at 248-684-8212 for tickets. Please pay via Payschools located on the athletic website(s) or make checks payable to Huron Valley Athletics. Auction items can be purchased by cash/check/credit card.
