Huron Valley United Womens Lacrosse Team Drops Regional Game

The Huron Valley team, made up of student athletes from Lakeland, Milford and the International Academy, lost in the first round of the regional tournament, 17-4, to Hartland.

The Huron Valley United Women’s Lacrosse team dropped there first round regional game 17-4 to Hartland Wednesday evening. 

Hartland jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead just 7 minutes into the game. Senior Caitlin Wojichowski scored with 17:48 to go in the first half to open the scoring for Huron Valley. Dominique Zigo scored her first goal of the game at the 9:39 mark to make the score 7-2.

Huron Valley United battled hard the entire game at Lake Orion. Senior Nichole Laflamme scored Huron Valley’s third goal early in the second half. Dominique Zigo closed out the scoring with her second goal with 8:52 to go in the game.

Seven team seniors wrapped up there careers at Lake Orion Wednesday evening. Huron Valley United ended the season with a 13-12 record.
