Lakeland Boys Cross Country Team Takes 3rd Place In Regional Championship

With the win Lakeland advances to state finals.

The Lakeland boys cross country team took third place in the regional championship Friday afternoon. With the 3rd place finish, the Eagles advance to the state finals. 

Senior Garret Zuk led the way for the Eagles with a scorching time of 15:28.77 to take 2nd place overall in a field of 105 runners. He was followed closely by Junior Grayson Thomas with a time of 16:01.25 good for 16th place overall. 

Senior Scott Neff finished at 16:08.93 for Lakeland.

Seniors Ryan Carrigan came in at 16:11.15 followed by Senior Craig Dudley with a time of 16:26.43. Freshman Blake McComas had a great finish with a time of 16:34.62. 

Senior Brendon Clover’s time of 17:00.67 clinched the spot in the finals for the Eagles.

Lakeland heads to Brooklyn, MI next Saturday for the finals.
