Lakeland JV Loses Heartbreaker to Walled Lake Northern, 12-6

The Eagles came up short against the Knights Wednesday,

The JV lost a heartbreaker Walled Lake Northern 12-6 Wednesday evening. 

The Eagles scored first on an 18-yard pass from Austin Jernigan to Dalton Christie at the 8:19 mark of the first quarter. Lakeland missed the extra point attempt. 

The Knights scored their first touchdown midway through the second quarter.

After a 6-6 tie at the half, the defenses took over in the third quarter.

Walled Lake scored the winning touchdown with 10:57 left to go in the game.

The two point conversion failed to make the score 12-6. 

The Eagles put on a furious rally with less than two minutes to go but came up short.

Dalton Christie had a big rushing game for the Eagles. 

With the loss, Lakeland’s record drops to 2-4 heading into next week’s KLAA cross over game.
