The women's tennis team dominated Waterford Kettering Tuesday in the season opener for both teams. The lady Eagles won the match 9-0 in convincing fashion under sunny skies on their home court.
Seniors Heather Horne, Lindsey Dehnbostel and Maryssa Herbert swept the singles matches. Senior Cheryl Craig and junior Lindsey Lingnau swept their doubles match 6-1 for Lakeland.
Head Coach Lisa Antonishek was pleased with the season opening victory.

"Our first match went well," she said. "The girls played hard."
The Eagles return to the court Thursday at Walled Lake Western at 4 p.m.
