Hartland upends Lakeland 11-3 in softball, and beats Lakeland baseball 4-1 in extra innings.

The Hartland Eagles upended Lakeland 11-3 Friday afternoon in a KLAA cross over game. Lakeland was not able to get the offense going due to a strong pitching performance by Hartland's Abbie Minkser.

Kelsey Cleary had a bunt single and a stolen base for Lakeland. Windy conditions made it tough for both teams on the field. Selena Hinks started the game on the mound for Lakeland, and Michelle Stiltner came on in relief late in the game.

Baseball

Lakeland's baseball team lost to Hartland Friday afternoon 4-1 in extra innings. A classic pitchers duel took place in the first seven innings lead by the pitching of Lakeland's Tim Wilson. Runs were scarce as both teams defense was solid.  Hartland scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning for the win. The Eagles record is 1-1 as they get ready for a single game against Clarkston on Tuesday at home.
