Patch Passport: How About a Day Trip to Macomb Township?

The what, when and where of a visit to Macomb Township.

All summer long, we'll offer up a weekly day trip guide to another southeast Michigan destination. What are your favorite things to do in Macomb? Let us know in the comments.

Welcome to Macomb!

Located smack dab in the center of Macomb County, Macomb Township is home to almost 80,000 people spread over 36 square miles. We border M-59 (or Hall Road as the natives know it) to the south and you'll find the shores of Lake St. Clair just 20 minutes due east.

Although Macomb is one of the fastest growing communities in the state, it hasn't quite abandoned its agricultural roots, so don't be too surprised if you pass a cow or the occasional sod farm as you travel north.
